1-Chorotega, May 2007- Green residences
Seabreeze Mountain announces the construction of a green standard eco housing development in Las Delicias Guanacaste. This will be the first project in Guanacaste trying to apply the green standard in housing development. The project has the commitment of the community and the deputy Saturnino Fonseca.
2-El Sabanero, August 2007 - Road paving in front of the SeaBreeze Mountain development
The Costa Rica President Oscar Arias announces the paving of the road between 27 april to Paraiso. The contract should be completed in 2008 and will provide an easier access to the beach area of Junquillal and Santa Cruz for the resident of Las Delicias.
3-El Sabanero November 2007 - first USGBC project in Guanacaste
Keith Winn, one of the founders of the US Green building Council visited Seabreeze Mountain to explain to the community of Las Delicias the process that has been undertaken to achieve a LEED certification of the residences.
4-CATURGUA Guanacaste magazine, 8th edition march 2008 - Living longer and healthier
Quest Network and National Geographic identified National Geographic and Quest Network qualify Blues Zones as the places in the world where people live longer, healthier lives than anywhere else in the world. Last year Costa Rica’s Nicoya in-land Peninsula was named one of the six known “Blue Zones” (http://www.bluezones.com) in the world by those scientist. Seabreeze Mountain is located in the heart of the Costaricain Blue zone and offert to it’s resident a lifestyle in harmony with Nature.
5-Beach Times, February 2008 - Green building council
Costa Rica will have its green building council that will be responsible to adapt the LEED standard. One of the founding members, Seabreeze Mountain, will be first development to offer those type of house.
6-La Nacion, May 2008 - Construction industry is interested in sustainable buildings
The construction industry of Costa Rica is interested in the sustainable building effort. Seabreeze Mountain is a founding member of Costa Rica Green Building Council that is piloting that effort.
7-Beach Time, June 2008 - Environment day celebrations
Around 150 Kids of school of Las Delicias, 27 april and La Paz (Flamingo) planted some trees with the Mayor of Santa Cruz to celebrate the environment day at Seabreeze Mountain. The Costa Rica government has set a gool of planting 7,000,000 trees to reduce CO2 emissions.
